The road up to Brainard Lake was still closed to vehicle traffic, so we parked at the winter lot and biked up with our skis to the trailhead and then started skinning up from there. We ended up climbing/skiing North Couloir West on Little Pawnee. It turned out that the snow from the most recent storm hadn't fully consolidated yet as the top layer slid as the first person dropped in. We also encountered some wet slides, but it was all manageable. All in all, another great day out in the mountains!
