Chicago Sailing invited us to go out for a sail on Bumblebee, the owner's 53' racer. Fun times! We learned that Bumblebee used to be a trans-Atlantic racer built in the 70s. With just the jib out, we were speeding along while taking on the 21+ knot winds and 4-6ft waves no problem. Only the brave hung out up near the bow with all the spray coming overboard.
